About the client

Malay Apparel is an established online clothing retailer in the United Kingdom. The brand aims to provide a diverse range of fashion at affordable prices; designed by and for fashion conscious men and women. Malay Apparel is one of the fastest growing apparel brands in the United Kingdom and a high-volume seller at eBay and Amazon marketplaces for many years.

The challenges

Their primary concerns were poor sales and improper website management. And the brand’s goal was to achieve the following results:

  • Extend functionality and, as the result
  • push up the sales
  • Increased site 
  • Make the website more user friendly
  • Product management
  • Increase newsletter subscribers count

Our approach

We followed a dexterous methodology for development, that is splitting development into different phases:

Phase I:

  • Upgraded magento version from magento 2.2 to magento 2.3
  • Built a website with minimalistic and basic designs
  • Integrated third-party extensions to meet some expectations like ajax shopping cart, ajax layered navigation, One page checkout to make the checkout user friendly.
  • Xtento feed setup

Phase II:

  • Considering the UX and the attractiveness of the brand issue, we assigned the work to our E-commerce department and the designer. We succeeded in finding the best solution for the website design after a few A/B tests performed by our designer
  • At the next stage our Magento developers. Owing to their efforts the website was taken to a new level within several months
  • Made data consolidation to achieve systematic Data Management
  • Integrated to Google merchant center for google shopping

  • Online marketings like google ads, Google merchant center, social media
  • Added a custom mega menu to the website making it user friendly
  • Monitored customer activity on the website by integrating zoho page sense tool
  • Integrated review.io module to make the website more trustable
  • Implemented lazyload and retina to reduce the website’s load time in loading high resolution images on devices
